2013 Stage Renovations & Repairs

The New Ken/Arnold Social in the Park Committee raised a little over $3,000.00, which most is going towards the renovations and repairs of the Band Stage at Memorial Park, with the help of the students and instructors of Northern Westmoreland Career and Technology Center doing the construction work.

This Committee is the vehicle driving this project. The community is the fuel. Without the fuel, this would not have been able to be accomplished. So please help us raise over $3,000.00 for the September 15, 2013 event. Next year the goal is to construct planter boxes on each side of the stage and renovate pavilions  A & B.

Renovations and repairs to be performed include: replacement of the pegboard ceiling with tongue & groove pine, the addition of recessed lighting by Chris Moore, the refinishing of the stage floor, the replacement of gable-end fascia boards, the painting of portions of the building, and the replacement of (2) pony-wall cap course. Portions of the building will be pressure washed and painted.
